what does PMU mean? permanent make-up what are pmu eyebrows? permanent makeup eyebrows is also known as microshading or micropigmentation. It is a form of cosmetitic tattooing that is done via tattoo machine. in this method the ink is placed in a more superficial layer of the skin than a traditional tattoo. what are nano combo eyebrows? Nano combro eyebrows are brows that have machine hair strokes done in the first 1/4-1/3 of the brow and the remaining 3/4-2/3 are saturated in a manner similar to ombré powder eyebrows. what are ombré powder eyebrows? With ombré powder eyebrows tiny dots of pigment are placed within the brow. A gradient effect is made by making the fronts of the brows lighter or ombré while the remainder of the eyebrow is shaded with more saturation of color. this method heals as a soft shaded appearance to the brow.
how long does the procedure take?ombré or nano combro brows can take up to 3-4 hours for the initial session. Including consultation, mapping, revision, actual procedure, pictures and review of aftercare, expect to be occupied for about 2-3 hours. two sessions are required to allow for the best initial results. for the first touch-up session, the process is usually a little quicker than the inital session. Think of each session like a coat of nail polish. The brows will be more distinct as the ink is allowed to build up in each session.
how long do the results last?PMU eyebrow Results can vary depending on skin type, ability to retain pigment and post-procedure care. Results can last anywhere from 1-3 years. Annual touch-up are recommended to maintain eyebrow shape and color. this assists in your brows lasting longer. Where will i be getting the service done at? I will then carefully map out your eyebrows on your skin with a pencil. this process can take 30-60 minutes and you will be allowed to suggest alterations to areas that you may desire to. Remember that brows are meant to be sisters and not identical twins. We will begin only when you are completely satisfied with the mapping. please note that i will offer my opinion of what looks best during this time. once we have agreed on the brow design, i will outline the shape of the eyebrows with the tattoo machine and roughen the surface of the entire brow then apply topical anesthetic or numbing cream to ensure comfort. i tend to go over the shading or hair strokes 2-3x to ensure evenness of pigment.
does PMU eyebrows hurt?Everyone has a different level of pain tolerance. The topical numbing cream is applied to help alleviate some of the discomfort associated with PMU. Most clients have ranked the level of discomfort after application of the numbing cream a 2 on a scale of 10.
